Strine Brook Farm, Newport, Shropshire – Sunday 23rd August 2026

Our annual Heritage Shoot is back, and this year it’s bigger than ever as it once again incorporates the Shropshire County Handicap Championships. If you’re looking for a friendly, well-run competition to round off your summer, this is the one to put in the diary.

Archers will shoot the National round appropriate to their age category, with six sighters followed by four dozen arrows at the longer distance and two dozen at the shorter, all scored on the classic five-zone scale. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are up for grabs across every category, so whether you’re a junior shooting your first National 20 or a senior chasing county handicap glory, there’s something to aim for.

Early start, please note: Registration opens at 11.00am with assembly at 11.45am and sighters at 12.00pm sharp — earlier than our usual events due to the inclusion of the County Handicap Championships.

Entry costs £10.00 for seniors and £8.00 for juniors, with a small £1.00 surcharge for entries received after the closing date of 19th August. As always, the famous Audco buffet and a raffle will be on hand to keep everyone fuelled and entertained throughout the day.
