Wenlock Hall, Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Newport, Shropshire – Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th February 2027
Two indoor competitions are coming to Wenlock Hall in February, back to back on the same weekend. Shoot one, or make a weekend of it and enter both.
Saturday 13th February: Closed Indoor County Championships (Portsmouth UKRS). Hosted by Audco on behalf of Shropshire Archery Society. Archers shoot the Portsmouth Round, five dozen arrows at 20 yards preceded by two ends of sighters, in one of two sessions. Recurve, Barebow and Longbow shoot standard 60cm faces (a 3-spot option is available on request), while Senior and U18 Compound shoot a vertical 3-spot face. This is a closed competition for Shropshire-affiliated archers, though spaces may open to others after 20th December 2026 if available. Entry is £12.00 per session.
Sunday 14th February: WRS WA18. A record-status WA18 shot the day after the County Championships, at the same venue. Archers shoot five dozen arrows at 20 yards with two ends of sighters, in one of two sessions. Barebow and Longbow shoot single 40cm faces (a 3-spot option is available on request), while Senior and U18 Compound and Recurve shoot a vertical 40cm 3-spot face. Open to all Archery GB and World Archery affiliated archers. Entry is £15.00 per session.
Entries and payment for both events are made through the Sport80 platform, and entries close on Wednesday 8th February 2027 or when the field is full. Please read the relevant prospectus and entry form before you enter, as each event has its own details.
